Group bible devotion: book of Exodus

Hey guys,

This is our first official posting! *round of applause*.

In this month we will be reading on the book of EXODUS! Why Exodus? Because it is on FES's book of the month! *lame* Anyhow, I hope everyone will take time to read this book so we will have some topic to discuss about. Until then, happy reading for the month of April!

Reminder regarding some prayer requests:
1. Remember Emily in prayer as she undergoes training with PLKN.
2. -and Joshua and his upcoming public speaking event.
3. For those who are pursing college, for a quick transition into their new environments.
4. Strength and endurance for those who are caught up in a hectic college/ medical-dental faculty schedule or application process.
5. - and that God will provide a reasonably good university and a good study course for those preparing for tertiary education.

  1. okie... question!
i never thought of it, but God can forget stuff?? exodus 2. it says that God says that He heard the cries of the people of Israel and REMEMBERED the covenant. yes i know its sprinkled liberally throughout the OT. just never struck me. so if he remembered, ergo he forgot. as in.... besides our sins. which is another matter all together. or is it?

just smthing to bounce around. it does have implications though....

  2. *blinks* i never thought of that b4. now it's going to bug me for the rest of the day...

i think.....God doesn't forget stuff the way we humans do. As in we forget accidentally, God doesn't. But then again, God wouldn't purposely forget the covenant would He? Could it be a translation issue? Like maybe in Hebrew, the word "remember" has a deeper meaning?
